WELLNESS / HEALING ENVIRONMENT

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A Space for Grounding, Growth, and Renewal

Grounded reimagines wellness as a spatial and sensory experience—creating an environment where individuals can reconnect with themselves, their surroundings, and a sense of collective care. Rooted in principles of mental health, restoration, and presence, the project explores how design can support emotional balance and personal reflection.

Through a thoughtful integration of natural elements, open space, and layered materiality, the environment encourages stillness and intentional engagement. The space becomes a counterpoint to the pace of everyday life—offering moments to pause, reset, and reconnect.

More than a physical setting, Grounded is an ecosystem of healing—where design fosters awareness, and where growth is both personal and shared.

Where stillness becomes strength. Where presence becomes practice.

THE ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT

Designing for Calm and Connection

Drummond Projects approaches Grounded as a sensory-driven environment—prioritizing materiality, light, and spatial flow to create a deeply calming experience. The design minimizes visual noise while amplifying subtle details, allowing users to engage with the space in a more intentional and mindful way.

Natural textures, soft lighting, and fluid transitions guide movement through the environment, encouraging both introspection and connection. The architecture becomes a quiet framework for wellness—supporting mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical ease.

Architecture that invites stillness, awareness, and renewal.

ARTIST INTERPRETATION

Rooted in Restoration

“Rooted in Restoration” transforms the concept of grounding into a vibrant, living environment—using sunflowers as a central symbol of growth, resilience, and renewal. The installation invites viewers into a sensory experience where nature, memory, and identity intersect.

Surrounded by layers of sunflowers, organic textures, and cascading greenery, the work evokes a sense of being held by the environment—encouraging stillness, reflection, and reconnection. The repetition of the sunflower becomes both visual and symbolic, representing cycles of healing, collective strength, and the ability to turn toward light even in moments of challenge.

The integration of portraiture, architectural imagery, and natural elements creates a dialogue between built space and emotional experience—reminding us that restoration is not separate from our surroundings, but deeply embedded within them.

Rooted in the earth.

Guided by light.

Growing toward healing.

THE COLLABORATION

Where Architecture and Art Intersect

The collaboration between Drummond Projects and artist Travon Greene transforms Grounded into an immersive environment centered on growth, healing, and sensory experience. Through the integration of architectural clarity and expressive artistic intervention, the space becomes both a physical and emotional landscape.

Together, the design and installation reinforce the idea that healing is a process—one that is nurtured through environment, community, and intentional design. The result is a space that invites reflection, encourages presence, and celebrates the power of renewal.

A shared vision—rooted in growth, expressed through design.
